Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 22, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information Bischel Building, Inc. ("Bischel Building," "we," "us") collects when you visit bischelbuilding.com or contact us through it, how we use that information, and the choices you have. We're a small, family-owned contractor, and we only collect what we need to respond to you and run our website.
Information you give us
When you fill out our contact or estimate request form, we collect the information you enter: your name, phone number, email address, the town or ZIP code of your project, the kind of help you need, and your message, plus a street address if you choose to give one and any other details you include about your project or property. If you call or email us directly, we receive your phone number or email address and whatever you choose to tell us.
Form submissions are emailed to our office and are also saved in our website's database so we don't lose a request. We use this information only to respond to you, prepare estimates, schedule and perform work, and keep records of our projects.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, our site and the services it uses automatically receive some technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, the page that referred you, and the date and time of your visit. This comes from the following:
- Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager (installed through the Site Kit by Google plugin) help us understand how visitors use the site, such as which pages are popular and whether contact forms are submitted. Google Analytics uses cookies or similar technologies. Learn more at How Google uses information from sites that use its services. You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
- Google Ads conversion measurement. Through Google Tag Manager, our site loads Google Ads tags that tell us whether people who click our Google ads go on to contact us. Google may use cookies for this. You can manage how Google uses your information for ads at My Ad Center.
- Google reCAPTCHA v3 protects our forms from spam. It collects hardware and software information, such as device and application data, and sends it to Google. Use of reCAPTCHA is subject to Google's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
- Google Maps and Google Fonts. Our footer map and some text styles load from Google's servers, which receive your IP address when they load.
- OpenStreetMap map tiles (loaded through the Leaflet library from unpkg.com) display our service-area map on some pages. Those servers also receive your IP address.
- Better Business Bureau seal. The BBB accreditation seal links to our BBB profile.
We do not use this information to identify you personally. Our site does not use the Meta (Facebook) pixel.
Cookies
Cookies are small files stored by your browser. Our site uses cookies that WordPress needs to work and cookies set by Google Analytics, Google Ads and reCAPTCHA as described above. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site will still work, but our forms may require reCAPTCHA to submit.
How we share information
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only:
- with service providers who help us run the website and our business, such as our web host, email delivery service, and Google's analytics, advertising-measurement and spam-protection services, and only as needed to provide their services;
- with subcontractors, suppliers or inspectors when needed to carry out work you've asked us to do;
- if required by law, or to protect our rights, property or safety.
How long we keep information
We keep form submissions and project records for as long as needed to respond to you, complete and support your project, and meet our legal, tax and business record-keeping obligations. Our practice is to delete website form entries after about 2 years. Records for a project we perform may be kept longer when the law or our business records require it.
How we protect information
Our website uses an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, and only our office can access form entries. No website or internet transmission is completely secure, so please don't send sensitive information such as financial account numbers through our contact form.
Your choices
You can ask us to tell you what personal information we have about you from our website, to correct it, or to delete it, subject to records we need to keep. Contact us using the information below. You can also control cookies through your browser and opt out of Google Analytics as described above.
Children's privacy
Our website is meant for adults looking for construction services. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Links to other websites
Our site links to other websites, such as the BBB, Google and city permit offices. We aren't responsible for their privacy practices, so please review their policies.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top shows when it was last changed.
